Captain Lee Tippett grew up fishing the waters of the Patuxent river, first as recreation with his family and then commercially for oysters, crabs and fish. In his early teens, he moved to the Potomac River area where he continued his pursue his passion for working on the water aboard the crabbing boat “Betsy Lynn”. Lee moved on to tournament fishing for Rockfish in 2006. He has won and or placed in many of the tournaments he has entered. Lee has worked as a first mate aboard several of the top charter boats fishing out of Solomons, including “Rod Bender”, “Never-E-Nuff”, “Miss Susie” and most recently “Fin Finder”. With a lifetime of fishing experience and 3 full years of working as a first mate, Lee Tippett is now your full time captain aboard “Fin Finder”.
As a father of three, Lee loves to share his passion for being on the water and teaching his children to be great fishermen/fisherwomen. Capt. Lee welcomes children of all ages to come aboard “Fin Finder” for an exciting fishing experience with their family that they will remember forever. Capt.
